This shot captures a moment of pure freedom. A man juggles with dexterity in the heart of a village square. Objects rise into a clear sky. The traditional facades frame the scene with simplicity.
The sepia tone processing brings a timeless dimension to the image. The grain of the photograph emphasizes the authenticity of the moment. The artist intervenes here with ink to enrich the composition. Handwritten annotations run along the edges of the paper.
This work explores the margins of society and the aesthetics of the road. The gaze is sociological and attentive. The work testifies to an alternative and nomadic culture. The composition balances the verticality of the buildings and the fluid movement of the performer.
The print is made on fine art paper. This unique piece dates from 204. It mixes the precision of portraiture with the spontaneous spirit of street art. The final rendering is characterized by brown tones and traces of black ink.
Presentation
Bze has been tagging since he was 12. He writes on his school table, his clothes, the walls and public transport in his environment.
In parallel with university studies in photography and cinema, Bze explored the underground corners of Europe with his film camera, hunting for the aesthetics of the road, the street, the margins and its people. Since 1999, through exhibitions and slideshows between Granada and Rotterdam, he has shared his thousands of slides. In 2006, Bze finalized his photographic journey with a book called Overground, confusing travelers published by Éditions Alternatives. A unique, almost sociological look, revealed by a selection of more than 600 photographs of the counterculture with its communities, demonstrations, squats, free parties...
Following his meeting with the artist Nef, they created the Nef&bze© graphic studio (focused on electronic music).
Returning to his roots, the aesthetics of the letter, Bze devotes himself in the studio to painting on canvas or paper. His contemporary calligraphy, Neo-writer, tends towards minimal abstractionism.
An artistic journey marked by diversity and authenticity, a thirst to share.
