This artwork presents a visually arresting scene where a nude figure, adorned with angelic wings, stands within an open cage against a dramatic landscape backdrop. The striking contrast between the ethereal figure and the cage evokes themes of liberation and confinement. The expansive sky, painted with rolling clouds, casts a warm yet moody light, enhancing the surreal atmosphere. The juxtaposition of the human form with the stark, metallic cage structure invites contemplation on themes of vulnerability and transcendence. The serene presence of the figure, combined with the cage's open gates, suggests a narrative of emancipation and self-discovery. The natural setting, with its vast, reflective water body and distant hills, adds a layer of depth and timelessness, grounding the celestial with the earthly. This composition captivates with its bold exploration of freedom and the human spirit.

"In a few photographers like Mauricio Velez does aesthetic become ethic. Every portrait scene is seamless. Every composition is an impeccable piece: the light, gesture, even the preference of his subjects. Nothing can be discredited of the photographic style nor the clean technique. And for this aesthetic perfection, the message lands to the viewer in its pure state"
