Description
This composition merges classical architecture and street art codes. The urban landscape transforms into a chromatic playground. The artist diverts the rigor of the buildings to inject a contemporary energy. Graffiti lettering and pop culture characters take over the facades.
The foreground presents a herd of animals, also marked by urban motifs. This contrast between nature and controlled vandalism creates an unusual dialogue. The saturated palette emphasizes the playful aspect of the scene.
The technical execution mixes acrylic, pigment ink, and Posca markers on canvas. The precise rendering of architectural details contrasts with the freedom of spontaneous lines. This approach is part of a desire to subvert urban landscapes.
The whole plays on the superposition of eras and styles. Anachronistic elements float in a sky with twilight hues. The composition guides the eye towards the top of a building crowned with a black flag. The work was created in 2026.

Maxime Blachère is an atypical artist from Savoy, now living near Lyon and present in 25 countries and several art galleries in Europe and the US. Maxime Blachère's universe is filled with humor and saturated colors.
Self-taught and versatile, his sources of inspiration are multiple. Comics, pop culture, photography and of course Street-art.In phase with the Fluxus movement, he uses and mixes the codes of the environments that inspires him and of the artists he meets to give free rein to his imagination and deliver offbeat works, sometimes naive, sometimes subversive, like his series of works "Vandal is color" where Maxime takes pleasure in virtually vandalizing urban landscapes around the world.
