"Les Larmes de Gaïa" is a pink steatite settled on a bloc of marble and a granit basement.

Here is the artist's poem on "Les Larmes de Gaïa":

They all lived in beautiful harmony
And claimed she was so pretty
That their love was won for him.
    Happy with the established balance
She offered her treasures for Life.
Over the centuries their number has grown,
    Knowledge has won people's minds
    Respect has been forgotten.

On land, in the air, in the oceans
Her children are falling in worrying numbers.
    Horrified by their funeral chants
Helpless, she feels their blood flow.
Its flesh suffers from an irritating liquid
    His strength wanes over time.
She fears being sterile every spring
To perish under a scorching sun.

But she sees little hands fighting
Trying to calm down, heal his wounds
To finally give it back all its beauty.
    Her tears then keep falling
In front of the hope of a good tomorrow
Even if the path is not marked.
    Gaia, they haven't forgotten you
Can you one day forgive them ...

Patricia Guinois Messica

France Born in: 1958

Stone carving.

Patricia has been passionate about sculpture on stone since her childhood. She quit her job as a cardiologist to join clay modeling classes, before pursuing sculpting stone on her own.

It is her love of stone, their variety, their color and their unexpected shape that nourish her creativity.

"In every stone a sculpture is hidden. I am only the artisan that gives her life. I am captivated by the harmony of curves and colors which slowly reveal themselves day by day after a delicate grinding."

She received an Arts, Sciences & Letters Academy medal and she has a Drouot valuation certificate.
