Description
Fabricated copper with a polished finish on the outer surfaces and a satin finish on the inside. Mounted on a Portland stone plinth with a polished stainless steel support rod.
Following my exploration of paper folding and pleating, the ultimate aim was finding designs that could be folded or pleated directly in sheet metal, the result of which have fantastic potential to be scaled up to make monumental sculptures.

Presentation
Thomas follows a passion for creating form based abstract sculpture which responds to aesthetics and fractals within nature. Exploring such principles as Fibonacci led to an understanding that the stunningly beautiful yet often simple laws that nature follow, result in what could most closely be described as perfection within our environment and are synonymous with aesthetic beauty, balance and perfection.
