Description
This captivating work features a remarkably detailed shell, evoking the raw beauty of the ocean. The open, textured white shell serves as a throne for a round, luminous pearl, a symbol of mystery and purity. It rests on a bed of fine sand, adding a natural and organic dimension to the composition. The meticulous attention to shades of gray and white give the piece a serene and elegant aesthetic. The work invites contemplation, encouraging the viewer to explore the contrasts between mineral robustness and the delicacy of natural forms. This harmonious marriage of textures and materials offers a poetic representation of transformation and the emergence of beauty from the ordinary. A must-have piece for lovers of art inspired by nature.
Sculpture composed of three elements: metal base, glass paste shell + blown glass nut.
Accompanied by its sand, sifted sea sand from the Bay of Saint Brieux.
Presentation
My name is Christian Lutz,
I opened a personal business at the end of 2000, in order to "act" on my need to create works in glass, a material that has always fascinated me.
Creator of works in blown glass with cane for more than twenty years but today completely turned towards glass paste, I work alone in my Breton workshop where I shape unique pieces. Artist fascinated by the "light" of glass, I most often seek to highlight it and to create harmony between forms with sober lines and plays of colors. But I can also be attracted by an alchemical temptation which sometimes pushes me to favor the unexpected and opacity.
