Description
This sandstone sculpture explores the dialogue between matter and elements. The raku technique imposes a visual rhythm marked by strong contrasts.
The upper part unfolds in dark, organic strata. These superimposed curves evoke a mineral blossoming or a natural relief. The work of fire leaves a rough, almost carbonized texture, which emphasizes the fragility of the form.
Its blue hue, soft and nuanced, contrasts with the rigor of the top. This play of colors creates a harmonious tension between shadow and light.
The minimalist approach transforms the decorative object into a piece of reflection. The precision of the gesture reveals a technical mastery where the randomness of fire becomes an ally.
Realized in 2025, this piece combines geometry and spontaneity. It is distinguished by its tactile aspect and its architectural structure.
Presentation
Passionate about the arts, I began by painting, then I discovered 'THE EARTH' and all the richness and beauty it has to offer.
Water, earth and fire – three elements essential to life – fascinate me.
My current work focuses on couples, family, friends and femininity, using Raku techniques and the ultimate test of fire. I try to convey a message or symbolism: surprises, joys and, sometimes, disappointments right up to the last minute. I trained at the Douai School of Art.
I run an 'Expression terre' workshop and a 'Children's' workshop in Templeuve-en-Pévéle, as sharing is very important to me.
