Description
This cute rabbit artoy is a signature piece of Pappay's work. It is part of his "Bibsy Kings" collection.
The buildings of New York, rendered with bold and dynamic strokes, dominate the figure's head, symbolizing the frenetic pace of city life. Incisive words such as "Midtown" and "United States" add a textual dimension, evocative of American urbanity. Vibrant orange and yellow hues intertwine with touches of blue and red, infusing a palpable energy. Every detail, from the mischievous face to the carefully chosen graffiti, contributes to a modern and captivating visual narrative. On the back of the work, we are immersed in the heart of the streets and their signs, including one of the most famous: Broadway. This work is distinguished by its ability to transform a simple figure into a bold celebration of contemporary urban culture.
Presentation
Born in 1985, Pappay is a French painter and sculptor whose works are exhibited internationally in Germany, Austria, United States, Singapore and more.
Coming from the School of Fine Arts, Pappay settled in 2008 in the South of France and began several years of creative research and experimentation. The result is a unique graphic touch with a very urban style.
Pappay draws inspiration from the chaos of cities and their architecture, as well as from graphic design and street art. Pappay has always been fascinated by the relationship between humanity and its environment. The scenes represented in Pappay's compositions are devoid of any human presence, where time is suspended, objects and buildings are witnesses of life and history ready to come alive before our eyes.
Deeply rooted in urban art, Pappay shines in the street art scene by regularly creating frescoes.
