Description
This artwork depicts a stylized turtle, a unique fusion of mosaic and sculpture. The multicolored shell displays a kaleidoscope of blue and green hues, vibrant with intricately cut tiles. A glowing stone crowns this chromatic dome, adding an intriguing touch of radiance. In contrast, the turtle's body is enhanced by warm shades of yellow and orange, each tile geometrically arranged to bring its expressive limbs and head to life. The meticulous details of the face and legs are enhanced by dark touches, emphasizing the harmonious blend of color and texture. This masterpiece transcends mere decorative object to become a celebration of craftsmanship and creativity, a true ode to natural beauty revitalized by artistic imagination.
Presentation
His inspiration is formed during numerous trips to the Maghreb and Southern Europe, particularly to Ravenna, Italy. The Arab-Andalusian civilization and its marvelous azulejos, Orientalism with artists like Gustave Guillaumet or Jean Bouchaud, and Odorico fils, are all references that nourish him to create a mosaic that is both of high quality and adapted to popular urban planning.
