Description
This captivating sculpture, titled "Socially Acceptable," embodies a unique and vibrant fusion of colors and shapes. Fashioned from layers of agglomerated candy, each multicolored streak demonstrates a meticulous and innovative creative process. The piece is distinguished by its bold curves, forming an asymmetrical silhouette that draws the eye and intrigues the mind. Vivid shades of blue, green, orange, and pink blend harmoniously, evoking both movement and stability. The work successfully captures a visual dynamic by marrying the art of recycling and contemporary aesthetics, thus recalling the importance of sustainability in modern art. It encourages the viewer to reflect on the power of transforming everyday materials into impressive objects of art.
Presentation
Fabrice Lettron is a French self-self-taugh artist born in 1965 who lives & works in Montargis, France. He practices the technique of sculpted paper. It consists in gluing several thousands of small pieces of coloured paper manually, then compressing them and once dry, they are sculpted or machined. There is no painting. Colours are those from the paper. Fabrice Lettron creates surrealist and abstract works in 3 dimensions. The virtues of paper leave infinite possibilities to his imagination.
