Description
Under the dim light, the young bull emerges from the bronze with fierce nobility. Its head, frozen in a surge of eternity, seems to question the world with a blank gaze yet charged with a primitive presence. Every fold of its skin, every vein of its horns tells an ancient story—that of a still naive strength, of an animal on the threshold of its power.
His pricked ears listen to the silence, his nostrils quiver with a breath frozen in the metal. One could almost hear the distant rumble of hooves, the promise of a charge that has yet to take place. The discreet black base serves as a mythological ground, ready to welcome the legend on the march.
It is not just a sculpture: it is a pause in time, a tribute to the totem animal, to the bull that does not yet fight but knows that it must.
Test No. 2/8.
Presentation
Isabelle Carabantes was born in 1965 in Paris.
She learns sculpture in different workshops and studies modeling from a live model, working on volumes in space, axes and planes, at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts de Paris in Philippe Jourdain's workshop.
The artist, mainly focused on the animal world, does not choose to work as a naturalist. After having previously studied the anatomy and social life of her subjects, she deviates from it for a spontaneous realization. It is a question of capturing an emotion, of stealing a moment of life with all the strength and the wild beauty of her subjects. Her modeling vibrates with an energy both powerful and delicate, that of a wild and threatened allegorical world: ours.
