Description
This geometric artwork is a vibrant composition of shapes and colors that immediately captures attention. Circles, half-circles, rectangles, and lines overlap with calculated precision, forming a harmonious and dynamic whole. The vivid hues—yellow, blue, pink, and black—contrast with touches of white and gold, adding an intriguing visual depth. The beige background highlights the colorful forms, accentuating their brilliance. Each element is strategically positioned, creating a perfect balance between movement and stability. This painting evokes a bold modernity, inspired by constructivism, and invites the viewer to explore the interplay of light and texture. The use of curved and angular lines gives the work a complex and captivating structure, making this piece a true tribute to contemporary abstract art.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
