Description
This striking artwork transforms a simple can into a captivating sculpture. The can, distorted and hand-painted, displays splashes of green paint flowing across its white surface.
The paint drips artistically, creating a striking contrast between the vibrant green and the immaculate background. Placed on a white base, the work evokes a spontaneous and dynamic act of creation. The painting appears fresh, as if the action has just occurred, adding a fascinating temporal dimension. The artist plays with perception by blending the banal object and the artistic gesture, questioning the value and transformation of everyday objects into works of art.
This piece stands out for its originality and boldness, capturing the eye with its simplicity and visual impact.
Presentation
When metal becomes emotion…
Yannick Bouillault's studio is located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in western France. It is in the face of this vast expanse that he has forged a close connection with creation since a young age. Trained in boilermaking, he first worked as a technician before devoting himself fully to sculpture in 2016, driven by a spontaneous and visceral impulse.
Passionate about materials—mainly steel—and fueled by philosophy, Yannick Bouillault strives to reveal the hidden beauty of metal. With his technical mastery, he transforms this raw, cold material into a vehicle for emotion. Each work is born from a dialogue between reflection and feeling, between tension and calm.
Curious about phenomena and attentive to the energy of the world, he draws inspiration from both movement and absence, from the visible and the invisible. In his work, realism and surrealism intertwine to give birth to sculptures that are both powerful and sensitive. Playing with shapes and colors, he gives metal an unexpected lightness, sometimes even a poetic grace.
A self-taught sculptor, Yannick Bouillault has established himself as a unique voice in contemporary metal. His works, exhibited in France and abroad, now travel the world, driven by a universal emotion.
All of the artist's sculptures are designed and crafted entirely by him. Each piece comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
