Description
This dynamic artwork is a vibrant explosion of color and form, crafted from undulating strips of translucent acrylic. Each strip, in hues of among others neon green, neon red, blue curls and twists with energetic grace, creating a striking three-dimensional display. The interplay of light through these luminous colors casts captivating reflections and shadows, enhancing the depth and movement inherent in the piece. Mounted on a flat surface, the artwork's bold, swirling shapes project outward, engaging viewers and challenging the boundaries between sculpture and painting. Its unique use of transparent materials and vivid colors creates a mesmerizing visual experience, making it a standout piece that captures the essence of modern, abstract expression.
Presentation
Selçuk Dizlek (born 1976 in Schweinfurt) studied at the Nuremberg Art Academy; he is a sculptor, but in his work groups he very subtly blurs the boundaries between painting, object, relief, sculpture, interaction and light art. Time and again, the line emerges as a unifying design element, whether as a sculptural space-occupying "drawing" or as luminous light tracks.
Dizlek's sculptures are geometrically abstract/concrete.
In his œuvre there is a variety of materials: plexiglass, metal, concrete, ceramic tiles and, above all, the fascination of "light", which is used as a sculptural material. Light boxes or sculptures, light steles or sculptures, and color space objects or reliefs made of reflective, fluorescent, and translucent materials such as Plexiglas have been a focus for many years.
