Description
This captivating artwork presents a series of white, organic forms, delicately suspended on a rectangular wooden frame. Each element draws the eye with its fluid and sensual contours, evoking a subtle dance of folds and movement. The soft, matte texture of the forms contrasts beautifully with the rigidity and coldness of the metal frame, creating an intriguing visual harmony. Negative space plays a crucial role, accentuating the lightness of the figures and adding depth and dimension. This juxtaposition of materials invites silent contemplation, evoking themes of fragility and strength. Through its striking minimalism, the work explores the balance between movement and stillness, lending the piece a presence that is both ethereal and imposing.
Signature made with a metal wire.
Presentation
I love working with volume and bringing to life characters or animals that spring from my imagination.
To do this, I use a variety of techniques, switching between them as the mood takes me: modelling with clay, metal, repurposed objects, wood, stone, paper or glass.
I also sometimes combine these materials.
My aim is, above all, to keep my interest fresh: I'm always on the lookout for a new approach, a new technique, and I keep a fresh eye on the world around me. My world blends poetry and gentleness with a touch of humour.
