Description
Urban art takes on a childlike silhouette here to explore the codes of contemporary luxury. This resin sculpture reinterprets the teddy bear figure through a pop prism. The eye first falls on the accumulation of graphic patterns. Iconic logos and fashion typography intertwine across the entire surface of the character.
The contrast is marked between the softness of the form and the rigor of commercial symbols. The artist uses saturated colors and sharp lines to energize the composition. This visual play questions our relationship to consumption and prestige brands.
The precision of the work on resin offers a smooth and glossy finish. Each detail emphasizes the influence of street art and its ability to détourn familiar objects. The whole creates a dialogue between innocence and sophistication. The piece stands out for its sculptural aspect and its refined finishes. It establishes itself as a modern design object where fashion becomes a plastic material.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
