El primer jardín (Adán), 2026

Pablo Ferrer Navarro

This vertical sculpture explores the delicate boundary between construction and abstraction. Created in 2023, the artwork translates architectural principles into a tactile wooden form. The structure rises in a series of interlocking planes and hollowed frames. It mimics the skeletal remains of a building. Earthy brown tones unify the composition. This monochromatic palette emphasizes the play of light and shadow within the voids.
The artist utilizes his background in architecture to challenge traditional spatial perceptions. Every right angle and intersecting beam suggests a blueprint brought to life. The piece balances stability with a sense of fragmentation. It evokes a dialogue between planned order and organic decay. The rhythmic arrangement of blocks creates a dynamic tension. The sculpture rests on a sturdy base that grounds the airy complexity of the upper sections. Its surface reveals a matte finish that highlights the raw quality of the wood. The composition remains an open exploration of volume and void.
