Description
Urban art is expressed here through a playful and contemporary silhouette.
The character, dressed in a hoodie and headphones, embodies the energy of sound cultures.
The use of resin allows for precise modeling, highlighting the folds of the clothing and the roundness of the headphones.
Epoxy paint brings an intense golden sheen. This metallic finish plays with the light to accentuate the relief of the sculpture.
The piece rests on a transparent plexiglass base which lightens the overall structure.
The whole merges the codes of Pop Art and Street Art in a mischievous approach.
The contrast between the shine of the body and the transparency of the support emphasizes the modernity of the object.
Presentation
Fred Morgan, a French artist born in 1973 in Gap in the Hautes-Alpes region, creates a vibrant and intensely colorful pop universe where sculpture, painting, and digital graphic design intertwine. A rebel with a tender heart, he draws his inspiration from the rock and pop energy of the 80s, as well as the lively culture of DJs. His work subverts conventions, plays with insolence, and asserts total creative freedom. His most emblematic works, often inspired by the provocative "FUCK" motif, humorously and brilliantly question the role of expression and attitude in contemporary art.
An instinctive and resolutely modern artist, Fred Morgan imposes an immediately recognizable style, between assumed impertinence and chromatic joy.
