Description
This sculpture is part of the energy of Pop Art and Street Art. A stylized character, wearing headphones, dominates the whole. The silhouette adopts a stable, almost solemn posture, despite its urban appearance.
The work on the material attracts the eye. The resin is covered with an epoxy paint with a shimmering finish. An intense pink gradient envelops the figure, bringing a constant luminosity to the surface.
The artist plays with the codes of DJ culture and the 80s. The aesthetic is modern, frank, and assertive. The details of the clothing and accessories reinforce the playful aspect of the piece.
The work rests on a transparent plexiglass base. This minimalist support emphasizes the visual lightness of the sculpture. A black signature concludes the composition at the bottom of the support.
Presentation
Fred Morgan, a French artist born in 1973 in Gap in the Hautes-Alpes region, creates a vibrant and intensely colorful pop universe where sculpture, painting, and digital graphic design intertwine. A rebel with a tender heart, he draws his inspiration from the rock and pop energy of the 80s, as well as the lively culture of DJs. His work subverts conventions, plays with insolence, and asserts total creative freedom. His most emblematic works, often inspired by the provocative "FUCK" motif, humorously and brilliantly question the role of expression and attitude in contemporary art.
An instinctive and resolutely modern artist, Fred Morgan imposes an immediately recognizable style, between assumed impertinence and chromatic joy.
