Biografie
Landry Clément: Holzschnitzer - Blattvergolder Als ausgebildeter Juwelier war Landry Clément mehr als 22 Jahre in der Luxusbranche tätig. Nach einem Arbeitsunfall musste sich der Künstler umbilden und absolvierte eine Ausbildung zum Holzbildhauer und Vergolder an der ESEA (Ecole Supérieur Ebénisterie d'Avignon). Seit Juni 2015 ist die Werkstatt von Landry Clément in einem der schönsten Dörfer der Provence im historischen Zentrum von Pernes Les Fontaines installiert.
Die Arbeiten von Landry Clément sind sehr zeitgemäß, mit harmonischen Formen und geformten Oberflächen. „Ich arbeite sehr gerne mit Eichen und Kastanien, weil ich die Hölzer nicht färbe, sondern oxidiere und es diese beiden Arten sind, die das beste Rendering haben.“ Landry Clément. Gold ist auch ein sehr wichtiges Material in der Arbeit des Künstlers; Die kleinen goldenen Akzente seiner Werke unterstreichen die einzigartigen Eigenschaften von Holz.
Für sein außergewöhnliches Know-how und die Qualität seiner Arbeit erhielt Landry Clément 2024 den Titel „Master Craftsman of Art“, die höchste Auszeichnung für Kunsthandwerk.
