Collage

Künstler haben die Collage seit Jahrhunderten als Kunstform verwendet. Die moderne Tradition der Collage, wie wir sie heute kennen, geht jedoch auf die kubistischen Künstler Pablo Picasso und Georges Braque zurück. In den frühen 1900er Jahren experimentierten diese Künstler mit dem Aufkleben von Zeitungsausschnitten und anderen Materialien auf ihren Leinwänden, um überraschende Verbindungen zwischen visuellen Elementen zu schaffen. Die Collagekunst der Kubisten inspirierte viele moderne Künstler, mit dieser Technik zu experimentieren, die bald zu einem festen Bestandteil der modernen Kunst wurde.

Heute ist die Collage eine äußerst vielfältige Kunstform. Zeitgenössische Künstler verschiedener Stilrichtungen erstellen Collagen, um visuell interessante Kompositionen zu schaffen. Für figurative Künstler, d. h. Künstler, die die sichtbare materielle Welt durch Kunst darstellen, kann die Collage verwendet werden, um ihren Werken unerwartete oder abstrakte Elemente hinzuzufügen.
