Roberto Jacoby

Born in: 1944


Roberto Jacoby is an Argentinian artist and sociologist, born in 1944. He worked as a singer for the rock band Virus, he is also a journalist and theater critic. He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires.

An artist known around the world, he is famous for his collaboration with the Di Tella Institute in the revolutionary project Tucuman Arde in 1968 which dealt with social conflicts. In fact, the artist draws his inspiration from sociology, this social matter from which he observes the evolutions since a young age. Humans play a main role in his work, it is at the origin of his research and of his enthusiasm.
