Oeuvres Nues

Les œuvres consacrées au nu occupent une place fondamentale dans l'histoire de l'art, en tant que territoire d'exploration du corps humain dans toute sa diversité formelle et symbolique. Sujet central depuis l'Antiquité grecque, où la représentation du corps idéalisé constitue le fondement même de la pratique sculpturale et picturale, le nu traverse les siècles en se réinventant constamment au contact des sensibilités et des questionnements propres à chaque époque. 

De Titien à Courbet, de Modigliani à Lucian Freud, chaque génération d'artistes a négocié différemment les enjeux esthétiques, moraux et politiques attachés à la représentation du corps dénudé, oscillant entre idéalisation et crudité, sensualité et distance, célébration et critique. 

Dans la création contemporaine, le nu s'affranchit des conventions académiques pour explorer des territoires bien plus vastes, où le corps devient un langage plastique à part entière, capable de porter des récits sur l'identité, le genre, le désir ou la vulnérabilité humaine. La peinture, la sculpture, la photographie et l'édition offrent autant de prismes différents pour appréhender ce sujet inépuisable, chaque medium apportant ses propres qualités sensorielles et expressives à la représentation du corps.
