Frieze Los Angeles

First launched in 2019 by Christine Messineo, Frieze Los Angeles is a preeminent international art fair. Given its location, Frieze Los Angeles honors the city it calls home, paying special attention to Los Angeles' culture and influence on the international, contemporary art landscape.

After a successful year in 2020 which received approximately 35,000 attendees, Frieze Los Angeles will return February 17-20, 2022 in a new location in Beverly Hills. The fair will be located in an exciting, custom-built construction created by WHY Architecture's Creative Director, Kulapat Yantrasast, and Landscape Director, Mark Thomann. The structure is meticulously placed in between two cultural landmarks of Los Angeles, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and the Hammer Museum.

The fair's 2022 lineup has grown from 75 galleries in 2020 to more than 100 internationally-recognized galleries based in Los Angeles and abroad. Apart from the fair itself, Frieze Los Angeles offers various events throughout the city. If you're interested in discovering up-and-coming local galleries, then you should dive into Focus LA, a selection of young and emerging galleries curated by Frieze Los Angeles during Frieze Los Angeles. If you're unable to purchase a ticket but will be in Los Angeles, you can experience the first-ever Frieze Sculpture Beverly Hills, a public art display that will be open to all members of the public. After exploring the sculptures, why not stroll through one of the most famous museums in Los Angeles?

Many galleries participating at Frieze Los Angeles are also on Artsper. Discover a slice of the Frieze Los Angeles from the comfort of your personal device through exploring a selection of artworks from galleries such as Perrotin, Galerie Lelong, Galerie Marian Goodmore, Thaddaeus Ropac, and more!
