Farid Saâdi

Art, for me, is an inner journey and shouldn't simply stop at the boundaries of realism, but rather cross that barrier and plunge us into the very heart of the imagination, of surrealism. We must appeal to the imagination, the impossible, the unreal through the phenomenon of pareidolia in order to captivate the viewer's attention. By employing pareidolia, or the art of seeing something else, a cognitive phenomenon combining the interplay of shapes, shadows, and light, Saâdi creates a kind of optical illusion that leads the viewer to linger over his canvases in order to understand what lies hidden within. Using pareidolia as an artistic and poetic tool, Saâdi draws us into his artistic universe where landscapes and figures intertwine. Surrealism remains his central theme, where feminine beauty echoes the beauty of nature. 

Farid resides in France but exhibits regularly throughout the world (Japan, Belgium, France, USA, etc.).
