Biography
Igor Galan (b. 1964, Lviv, Ukraine) is a master of painting and graphic arts, known for his ability to seamlessly blend classical techniques with contemporary themes. A graduate of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Galan has exhibited internationally, including in Berlin, Chicago, and Kyiv. His notable works, such as the 4-meter satirical painting “Gorbachev and His 15 Republics," showcase his talent for political commentary and visual storytelling. Held in prestigious collections, including the National Art Museum of Ukraine and Berlin's Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie, Galan's art reflects his mastery of both technical skill and conceptual depth. Currently, he splits his time between Kyiv, Nice, and Paris, continuing to push boundaries in his creative practice.
