Art Brussels 2022
First launched in 1968, Art Brussels is one of the most anticipated contemporary art fairs in Europe, with an expansive impact on the international art calendar. Art Brussels is a unique opportunity to discover the richness of the artistic and cultural scene of the European capital. The fair is the backdrop of a myriad of art world exchanges between collectors, gallerists, curators, professionals, and art lovers from near and far.
Art Brussels returns for its 38th edition, the 28th April through the 1st of May, 2022, to the location it has called home since 2016, the emblematic Tour & Taxis building. Fair organizers anticipate approximately 25,000 visitors to the heart of Brussels and have organized an exciting program accordingly.
Art Brussels prides itself on its discovery approach to the art landscape. The fair will welcome and support more than 150 international and local galleries that are at all stages of maturity. The artistic program is separated into four sections: “Discover," “Prime," “Rediscover," and “Invited." The “Discover" section allows visitors to come into contact with young, and emerging artists. The “Prime" section is dedicated to mature artists that are established names in the global art scene. “Rediscovery" is a section entirely rooted in art from the 20th century, allowing guests to revisit artworks by under-recognized artists. Lastly, there is “Invited," a section that celebrates young and emerging galleries and art spaces. It provides an opportunity to present artworks outside of the traditional gallery format, as seen at other art fairs around the world such as artgenève. Art Brussels also presents a selection of solo exhibitions, individually highlighting works by the selected artists.
