Description
An instinctive composition where color imposes itself forcefully. The line, nervous and precise, draws a feminine silhouette in rosy hues. The body is adorned with regular dotted lines. The figure seems to dialogue with an orange sun, almost tactile.
The artist uses a mix of markers, ballpoint pens, and colored pencils. This technical choice reinforces the raw aspect of the scene. The turquoise background, punctuated by green touches, creates a strong contrast with the warmth of the warm tones.
The influence of raw art is manifested in the freedom of the forms. Dark birds and plant elements emerge at the bottom of the page. The whole evokes an inner narrative, far from academic conventions.
This creation prioritizes the authenticity of the gesture. The line becomes a mental engraving. The gaze is drawn to the tension between the softness of the nude and the rigor of the line. The drawing ends with a discreet signature in the bottom right corner.
Presentation
Self-taught and instinctive, MAÏ has been exploring the realms of human expression for fifteen years. Portraits, bodies, faces: over the years, MAÏ has sought less to represent than to capture raw emotion.
After a silent pause, confinement acts as a catalyst. Drawing emerges, immediate, unfiltered. Pens, markers, and ordinary paper become her instruments. Color is intuitive and impulsive.
Her gesture becomes more radical: black and white dominates, the line becomes an inner engraving. Abandoning all formal research, she allows autonomous works to emerge, where the unconscious expresses itself freely.
For her, art is not about technique, but about authenticity. Each creation is a journey, a fragment of an inner truth that the viewer is invited to extend.
