Description
A raw composition where the black line guides the eye. The face imposes itself with graphic simplicity. The lines are sharp, almost instinctive. The artist plays with contrasts of materials. White dominates the background, leaving place to touches of ochre and brown.
Two figures intertwine in a gesture of tenderness. The gazes are closed or averted. Silence settles in the white space. Each gesture emphasizes a restrained emotion.
The upper figure seems to protect the other. The work on shadows brings a melancholic depth. The whole oscillates between abstraction and figuration. The organic aspect of the forms recalls spontaneous drawing. The black signature anchors the composition in the lower right corner.
