Alejandro Quincoces  

Native from Bilbao in Spain, Alejandro Quincoces (b 1951) is more than a simple painter of “enigmatic townscapes".

After an abstract period, Alejandro Quincoces falls into a more objective and referenced painting. But if we have to define its paintings, it is necessary to perceive a tension between “the impressionism and the expressionism", in where the materials is playing a fundamental subject. His paintings and graphite plans show to us, a place in which any specific place is exceeded, and in which we can feel a psychological sense in this abstract and expressive work.
