Description
This work belongs to a collection dedicated to exploring color within geometric forms, created using watercolor and ink on 300gsm Arches paper. The pigments flow transparently: water guides the material, creating diffusions, gradients, and denser areas that overlap in subtle planes. The forms fit together like fragments of relief, between curved lines and sharp angles, composing an abstract cartography.
Blue dominates the palette, from deep cobalt to sky blue, while touches of ochre, green, and orange bring an oblique and natural light. These chromatic contrasts structure the space into dynamic fragments, evoking horizons, geological strata, and deconstructed mountain silhouettes. The whole oscillates between pure geometric abstraction and the suggestion of imaginary landscapes, where surfaces slide beneath one another, creating a depth without perspective.
The precision of the line interacts with the fluidity of the medium: organic textures, controlled flat areas, the breathing of the ink. The work is signed on the front and back. It is mounted in a passe-partout with a 2mm thick white Canson paper backing.
