Description

This vibrant artwork captures the essence of a lively and bustling rural village set against a stunning natural backdrop. The artist employs a bold and dynamic color palette, with vivid shades of green, blue, and orange dominating the landscape. The sky is painted a striking azure, seamlessly transitioning into the lush, verdant hills that surround the village, creating a sense of depth and expansiveness. The composition is meticulously detailed, illustrating a harmonious community at work and leisure. In the foreground, a winding dirt path leads us into the heart of the village, flanked by carefully rendered houses with distinct red-tiled roofs and whitewashed walls, each exuding a sense of warmth and homeliness. The artist's technique is both detailed and expressive, combining realism with a touch of naivety, resulting in a whimsical yet authentic portrayal of rural life. The interplay of light and shadow, along with the intricate use of colors and careful attention to detail, underscores the vibrancy and vitality of the village. This artwork is not just a visual feast but a heartfelt narrative depicting the simplicity, beauty, and interconnectedness of rural existence.

Ana Maria Dias, Time for Concert

Presentation

Ana Maria Dias is a Brazilian contemporary artist, painter and plastic artist, recognized for a body of work where abstraction, color, material and emotion intertwine in a deeply personal pictorial language. Originating from Brazil, she develops an artistic practice based on experimentation and the search for a balance between the spontaneity of the gesture and the rigor of the composition. Her work is in continuity with the great tradition of Brazilian contemporary abstraction, while affirming a singular plastic writing where light, chromatic rhythms and textures occupy a central place.

Working mainly with acrylic, mixed techniques and on canvas, Ana Maria Dias constructs her works through successive superimpositions of paint layers, creating surfaces rich in nuances, transparencies and material effects. Her creative process is based on a constant dialogue between intuition and technical mastery. The colors, sometimes vibrant, sometimes more subtle, structure the pictorial space and invite the gaze to move freely through the composition. Her works evoke inner landscapes, sensations and emotions rather than figurative representations, leaving ample room for the viewer's interpretation.

Influenced by the research of lyrical abstraction, abstract expressionism and Brazilian contemporary painting, Ana Maria Dias develops a work where material becomes a true vector of expression. The play of textures, chromatic contrasts and the movements of the gesture translate a reflection on time, memory and the transformations of nature. Her painting favors suggestion and sensory experience, offering an immersion into a universe where color constitutes the main emotional language.

Ana Maria Dias's works have been presented in several galleries and exhibitions in Brazil as well as internationally, and are currently in various private collections. Her work is regularly distributed by galleries specializing in contemporary art, helping to make her universe known to an international audience. Through a practice where contemporary painting, abstraction, acrylic, mixed techniques, color, material, gestural expression and Brazilian contemporary art combine with sensitivity, Ana Maria Dias affirms a singular artistic identity on the contemporary creation scene.
