"Vase of Vibrant Sunflowers," created by the French artist Natalya Mougenot, is a striking still life that features a bouquet of bold, abstract sunflowers with swirling petals and dark centers, set against a rich red background that enhances their dynamic presence.

The artist chose sunflowers as a tribute to her love for them, as they remind her of Vincent van Gogh's iconic works. Through this painting, Natalya underlines the importance of enjoying the simple things around us, capturing the beauty in everyday moments. The sunflowers are arranged in a central striped blue vase, contrasting beautifully with its alternating red and blue bands. A smaller vase nearby adds balance and harmony to the composition.

Thick, impassioned brushstrokes infuse the piece with a sense of movement and spontaneity, imbuing it with emotive intensity. The primary color palette underscores raw simplicity while bursting with energy. This artwork blends abstraction with impressionism, challenging traditional still life conventions and capturing a fleeting moment of beauty in a riot of color and form.

Painted in Natalya's Lyon studio, the piece will be carefully packaged and shipped from France with a certificate of authenticity. It is signed on both the front and back, with a stamp for further verification. The artwork is created on heavyweight, acid-free Italian professional paper and finished with a glossy varnish to protect it. Sold unframed, it offers flexibility in how it can be displayed, with framed images provided as a reference.

As you may have noticed, Natalya's favorite medium is professional, acid-free heavyweight paper, which allows her to create her multi-layered paintings by building up several layers of paint. One of the additional benefits she finds in working with paper is that once a piece is sold and placed in its new home, the client or art lover has the opportunity to select a frame. Natalya finds this framing process to be an important one, as it allows the client to participate in the final stage of the creative journey. By thoughtfully choosing a frame that enhances the painting, the client begins to form a personal connection with the artwork, reflecting on how the frame complements the piece and marking the beginning of their relationship with it.
