Description
This artwork embodies a striking exploration of texture and abstraction. The piece features a predominantly muted palette of whites and greys, punctuated by shades of earthy tones. The upper portion presents a weathered, textured facade, evoking a sense of aged walls affected by time. Below, softer, more ambiguous strokes create a contrasting sense of fluidity and movement. This duality between the structured decay and the ethereal base showcases the artist's adept skill in balancing harmony and tension. The work invites viewers to delve into the nuanced layers, evoking interpretations of erosion, memory, and the passage of time. The painting's minimalist yet impactful approach captivates, leaving a profound and lingering impression.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
