This captivating artwork, dominated by shades of blue and green, evokes a dynamic underwater world. The bold strokes and multidimensional textures are reminiscent of aquatic flora in motion. The touches of yellow and orange add an intriguing vitality, contrasting beautifully with the deep blue background. Curved lines flow through the composition, creating a sense of movement and fluidity. Each element seems to interact to form a harmonious and vibrant ecosystem. The artist perfectly masters the balance between abstraction and representation, inviting the viewer to explore the work's infinite details and nuances. This painting is a true tribute to the mystical and complex beauty of the oceans, offering an immersive and captivating visual experience.
“I paint out of passion. The blank canvas must call to me, the desire to paint must become an almost physical need. Then, the hand, combined with the material, begins the path of colors and contrasts. Feelings and emotions pass from the being to the canvas spontaneously, without calculation, without thought…"
Eric Dubarry is an internationally recognized, highly rated professional artist. Painting is more than a job for him; it's a passion. Sensitive, his works are spontaneous,
Griffism was born in his hands. His contemporary work, derived from Lyrical Abstraction, created a unique technique and style, Griffism (as do Dripping, Pointillism, Fauvism, Surrealism, etc.).
"In my interpretation of lyrical abstraction, I advocate a pictorial style that advocates the evolution towards the abstract language of emotions through color and gesture. The gesture, which remains well beyond the canvas, is often carried by my emotions, the trace of which remains engraved in the material.
There is in my inspiration something directly connected to nature, the rustling of the wind in the leaves, the complaint of a cetacean under the oceans... An infinite source of inspiration, nature does not register in me as an image, but as a sensation, a vibration.
My work is rooted in lyrical abstraction from which I have developed a unique technique
which identifies my style as Griffism.
This name, Griffism, is representative of my technique: scratching wet paint. The work I do, on the minimal thickness of the paint, on the marriage of colors when I combine them in a single gesture, seeking light and depth, is part of Griffism. It's a whole, it's my artistic identity.
The Griffism style, combined with the mixture of colors and the broad, spontaneous movements, like musical writing, makes my style original, unique, identifiable... It is an unexplored, innovative movement.
I exhibit my work in France and abroad, England, Japan, Luxembourg, Monaco, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Austria, etc.
