Description
This artwork uses torn paper fragments to create a landscape composition in a mixture of walnut stain and watercolor. At its center, a dominant brown evokes an arid and mysterious landscape, accentuated by a single touch of orange applied with acrylic paint. The irregular edges of the torn paper form sinuous lines, suggesting mountain ridges, creating a contrast with the uniformly brown background. The interplay of textures and overlays gives the work a tactile and three-dimensional quality, inviting tactile and visual exploration.
The artwork is mounted in a passe-partout with a 3mm thick white paper backing. The entire piece is framed in black wood moldings with a glass pane.
