Collage, nails and gold leaf on paper: friction and wear
The surface vibrates through the collision of materials. Yellow, gold, ochres and greens do not illuminate: they erode. Gold leaf appears wounded, intervened, far from any decorative function. Nails pierce and fix, reminding us that identity is also built under pressure. In this contemporary painting on paper, collage does not add layers; it exposes them. The visual rhythm is rough and irregular, sustained by textures, scratches and marks that make gesture and error visible as part of the language.
Contemporary figuration: showing what is lost
Here the mask does not hide a face: it replaces it. The empty eyes—real perforations—deny the gaze and turn the figure into an object of absence. The fragmented mouth suggests a contained voice, barely held by matter. This work does not tell a story; it proposes a clear contrast between what is shown and what can no longer be sustained. La práctica conceptual que aparece en ella, ejerce la expresión pictórica, sin ninguna pretensión de profundizar más allá de lo vi-sible. La pintura, como la pintura misma. Busco una manera original de mi pintura, dentro de una forma ya conocida de expresión pictórica.
Mi obra ha sido influenciada por diversos movimientos pictóricos claves que surgen a finales del siglo XIX y se desarrollan durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Siempre bajo la premisa de ser influenciada, creada y pensada dentro de los fenómenos propios
