Description
This portrait explores the inner tension through a fragmented face. The composition plays on a marked contrast between two hemispheres. On the left, brown and earthy tones anchor the gaze. On the right, a bright pink brings immediate intensity.
The black line, sharp and assured, delineates the forms with precision. The left eye, detailed and human, opposes the right eye, reduced to an abstract green circle. This visual duality translates a dialogue between wisdom and instinct.
The technique mixes oil, acrylic, and marker. The material accumulates in dense layers, creating a tactile relief. The artist works instinctively, letting the energy of the gesture show through in the tormented background.
The red mouth, with visible teeth, brings a note of almost theatrical tension. The whole is inscribed in the aesthetic of raw art, where the figure becomes a mirror of raw emotions. The background, saturated with scratches and superimposed colors, reinforces the chaotic aspect of the scene. This 2025 creation stands out for its figurative and instinctive approach.
Presentation
I started my career as a salesperson before becoming a decorator, where I began designing lamps... my meeting with a graffiti artist in 2017 marked a decisive turning point in my career.
I express myself through painting as others scream or cry.
I work mainly with oil sticks – I like this thick, raw, almost wild material. I use my finger to feel it, to stay in contact. Getting my hands dirty is part of the process: the more I'm immersed in the material, the more alive I feel.
My journey isn't linear. There wasn't a clear turning point, but rather a constant ebullition. My style took shape little by little, until a small, recurring face—my gaze, my double, my silent witness—took over. This figure, sometimes a sad clown, sometimes a monster, has become my graphic signature.
My work is very instinctive, but never gratuitous. Every line, every contrast between a "human" eye and a "bulging" one, between a tense or smiling mouth, speaks of this inner tension: between the wise and the trashy, between my upbringing and the anarchist fire.
If my paintings could speak, they would surely say:
“Look deep into me… and now, what do you really feel?" My painting is a mirror. And sometimes, a therapy.
