Geometrical shapes N°XX, 2026

Aurélie Trabaud   New & remarkable Artists

Characteristics of the work:
This artwork was created using extra-fine watercolor on a cotton canvas that had been pre-primed with a gesso made from 100% cotton paper. It stems from the artist's personal exploration of materials and textures. The canvas is mounted on a wooden support.

Dimensions: 17.8 x 14 x 0.5 cm

It features a geometric composition using an earthy color palette. The carefully juxtaposed triangles in red, black, ochre, and pink create a visual harmony. The contrast between the colors intensifies the effect, while the texture of the support adds depth and dynamism to the whole. The artist's technique, combining smooth surfaces with rough reliefs, gives the work a seductive tactile quality. Each shade seems to evoke a specific emotion, inviting the viewer to introspection. The apparent simplicity of the design conceals an underlying complexity, making this piece both mysterious and captivating. It is a celebration of geometry and materiality, where each element finds its place to create a decidedly modern and expressive work of art.
