Radiant Force, 2025

Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

This modern expressionist woman's portrait, with elements of Fauvism and abstract art, was created by French artist Natalya Mougenot as part of her ongoing series dedicated to women. In this body of work, she seeks to honor women not through conventional likeness, but through the emotional landscapes they embody. Each canvas becomes, in her words, “a mirror of strength, vulnerability, and authenticity," where color and form are chosen to capture inner presence rather than outer appearance.

The title Radiant Force extends beyond gender—it speaks to all human beings. For Mougenot, force is not brutal or cold; it is radiant, luminous, and alive. It is the quiet yet powerful energy that sustains us. The face in this painting—somber, intense—appears carved from contrasts of vivid pinks, purples, and greens, glowing with inner vitality. “Bright colors are my language," the artist explains. “They allow me to express emotional intensity where words fall short."

Her rejection of realism is deliberate. “I don't paint what I see—I paint what I feel. Realism hides too much. I want my art to be raw, to radiate honesty." With Radiant Force, she channels that philosophy: the merging of raw emotion, authenticity, and energy into a portrait that transcends individuality and becomes universal.
