Serenity, 2026

Olha Symonenko

A powerful exploration of natural dynamism and textural contrast, this original landscape captures the primal energy of a mountain river." The composition is built on the dialogue between structural mass and fluid movement. The monumental verticality of the rugged, fractured cliffs is juxtaposed with the kinetic force of a cascading waterfall, which dissolves into a vibrant, translucent turquoise basin. In creating this piece, an exquisite color palette was chosen to heighten the emotional and visual resonance of the scenery. Deep emerald and shimmering aqua tones clash and harmonize with the unexpected, sophisticated introduction of soft violet, lavender undertones, and warm, earthy ochre within the rock formations. Rather than a literal documentation of nature, the artwork focuses on the tactile quality of the medium. The intricate, almost sculptural play of light and shadow on the terrain creates a powerful three-dimensional illusion, while the strategic transparency in the foreground reveals the smooth topography of the riverbed beneath. The dense forest canopy at the upper edge anchors the composition, completing a profound study of ecological solitude and serene grandeur. The artwork will be shipped rolled for safe transit.
