Description
A bright blue entrance opens a gateway to quiet contemplation. This oil painting captures a moment of stillness. The composition balances bold color with delicate architectural details. Two vivid shutters frame a white inner door. Intricate ironwork creates a sophisticated contrast against the pale walls. The perspective draws the eye inward toward a glimpse of a hidden interior.
The artist blends a formal academic background with a deep exploration of space and identity. This artwork reflects a fascination with the thresholds we cross. Light falls softly across the scene. It illuminates a patterned tile floor and a simple hanging lamp. Every line is precise. Every shadow is intentional. The atmosphere evokes a sense of nostalgia and discovery. This piece transforms a mundane architectural element into a poetic study of transition. The palette remains harmonious. Cool tones dominate the scene. A subtle warmth lingers in the golden hues of the threshold. The focus remains on the harmony between geometry and light.

Nataliya Lemesheva is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores the themes of memory, identity, and migration. After establishing her professional career and gaining academic recognition, Lemesheva relocated her studio to Spain in 2020. This transition became a catalyst for an in-depth investigation into the concept of “living between worlds.”
Her work has been exhibited in prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Arts (London) and the Grand Palais (Paris), as well as across galleries in Spain and Russia. In her practice, Lemesheva reimagines the traditions of Dutch still life and classical painting through contemporary mediums such as papier-mâché and industrial plastic, creating hybrid objects at the intersection of sculpture and painting. She currently lives and works in Barcelona
