Desde el Mar, 2026

Dolores Deloma Sanchez

This atmospheric landscape captures a serene harbor under a heavy, textured sky. The composition balances the stillness of the water with the imposing presence of distant hills. Soft light bathes the coastal architecture in warm, golden hues. These buildings emerge from a dense veil of impressionistic brushstrokes.
The water reflects a complex palette of deep blues and muted greys. Several small boats drift quietly in the foreground. Their pale hulls contrast with the dark, swirling depths of the bay. The artist employs a rich impasto technique to create physical depth across the canvas. Every stroke adds a tactile dimension to the scene.
The interplay of light and shadow evokes a sense of timelessness. Nature and urbanity merge into a singular, poetic vision. The muted tones suggest a quiet morning or a fading dusk. This artwork explores the harmony between human settlement and the wildness of the terrain. A subtle tension exists between the structured lines of the city and the organic curves of the mountains. The overall mood remains contemplative and peaceful. The gaze is drawn from the floating vessels toward the hazy horizon.
