Description
The gaze of a fox imposes itself with striking precision. This mixed media painting plays on fragmentation. Geometric lines cut the animal's face. They create an architectural relief. The line is sharp. The structure fragments into shards of metal and rock.
The chromatic contrast attracts attention. Shades of gray and cold blue envelop the composition. Touches of ochre and orange emerge to recall the canine's natural coat. The focal point resides in the eyes. Two irises of an acid green pierce the grayness. This detail brings immediate life to the whole.
The figurative approach mixes here with rigorous abstraction. The movement is frozen in complex geometry. The balance between nature and deconstruction guides the eye. Each angle emphasizes the nobility of the subject. This creation from 2022 explores the tension between the organic and the mineral. The whole rests on a nuanced blue background.
Presentation
My work is based on the hybridization of painting and sculpture. The material, the relief, the textures, and the light give birth to works where the surface becomes volume and where painting asserts a physical presence. I develop compositions where organic forms and industrial structures dialogue in a search for balance between the living and the constructed. Inspired by the complexity of circuits, I transpose their rhythms, connections, and tensions into my works. I conceive a vision where the animal world and technology can coexist. This encounter is the extension of a deeper approach: to give body to an inner force. Through the material, I seek to make visible an energy of will and determination. Each work is entirely made by hand. The superposition of materials and the work of relief reinforce this presence, until they make the painting an object that transcends its surface. I am not just looking to represent a subject. I am looking to create a presence. A work capable of capturing the gaze, establishing a silent dialogue with the one who contemplates it, and giving body to a force that, for the time of a encounter, no longer belongs only to me.
