Description
The Hike - Trail captures the moment of setting out into the unknown, when anticipation meets the quiet rhythm of the journey ahead. Inspired by the experience of walking beneath a forest canopy, the painting transforms the landscape into an abstract interplay of geometric shapes and bold colours. Deep blues and shadowed purples evoke the coolness of woodland shade, while vivid greens, fiery oranges and soft lilacs suggest sunlight filtering through the trees. Interlocking forms create a sense of direction and movement, guiding the eye along an imagined path where every turn holds a new possibility. Rather than depicting a literal landscape, the work expresses the inner experience of exploration - the focus, curiosity and quiet determination that accompany each step into unfamiliar territory. An original acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 50 × 90 cm. The artwork will be carefully rolled and shipped in a protective tube.
Presentation
Ingy Zahran (b. 1985, Cairo, Egypt) is an Egyptian contemporary abstract artist living and working in Cairo. Her artistic practice is shaped by an unusual dialogue between engineering precision and intuitive expression.
Holding a Master of Science in Engineering and an MBA in Project Management, Zahran spent years working in technical design before dedicating herself fully to painting. Although self-taught, she has developed a distinctive visual language that seamlessly combines geometric structure with organic movement, reflecting the balance between analytical thinking and emotional freedom.
Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, Zahran creates layered compositions that explore rhythm, depth, and human connection. Her paintings shift between architectural forms and fluid abstractions, inviting viewers into spaces where order and spontaneity coexist. Rather than presenting fixed narratives, her works remain open to interpretation, encouraging personal reflection through color, texture, and light.
Her work has been presented in group exhibitions, including the Empower Her Art Forum at the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Capital Business Park exhibition in Cairo, as well as internationally at World Art Dubai with Artezaar Gallery.
Based in her independent studio in Cairo, Zahran continues to expand her practice through large-scale abstract paintings while preparing new bodies of work for international exhibitions and gallery collaborations.
