Description
The Distance Between Tides is an original contemporary blue abstract seascape painting by Tatiana Malinovscaia, created in 2026. This 60 × 90 cm acrylic painting on canvas captures the peaceful beauty of distant ocean waters, atmospheric skies, and shimmering reflections.
I created this painting inspired by those rare moments when the sea seems completely still, yet its depths remain full of mystery. I wanted to capture the feeling of looking toward endless water, where changing light transforms the landscape into something almost dreamlike.
Soft shades of powder blue, misty grey, icy blue, and pale turquoise contrast with deep layers of midnight blue, navy, charcoal, and blue-black. Delicate white reflections and subtle warm brown accents add depth to the composition.
Using brushes and palette knives, I combined layered acrylic paint, sweeping diagonal strokes, scraping, and fine vertical drips to create atmospheric movement and subtle texture.
This contemporary abstract ocean painting brings a sense of tranquility, depth, and understated elegance to modern and coastal-inspired interiors.
Original acrylic on canvas, 2026. Size: 60 × 90 cm. Stretched on wooden stretcher bars, ready to hang. Signed on the back. Certificate of Authenticity included.
