Description
"Frost Falls 01" (2026) is an original artwork from Tanya Sviatlichnaya’s dedicated year-long project, “Shades of the Year”.
Conceptually, the work visualizes the 52rd Japanese micro-season, Shimo hajimete furu ("First Frost Falls," late October). Tanya captures the atmospheric threshold where early winter meets late autumn. A heavy, velvety wash of deep charcoal-indigo rests over a soft gradient of peach-terracotta and icy blue frost. The painting captures the seasonal atmosphere: the tension between cold and warmth, density and transparency, presence and absence.
Size of the paper: 54 × 38 cm / actual size of the painting: 53 × 37 cm.
Materials: watercolor, gouache on fine art paper 230 g/m² (50% cotton).
Shipping: the artwork will be mailed flat in a cardboard box via EMS (Express Mail Service).

Presentation
Tanya Sviatlichnaya is an artist who uses classic techniques in a realistic approach with elements of symbolism and impressionism to create paintings inspired by the natural manifestations that are being observed in the surrounding.
Tanya's goal is to reflect the atmosphere of love and kindness in creating paintings, to convey sensations and emotions in the moment, and to identify humans and nature.
As a result, her artworks are a celebration of our environment, as well as a call to pause, look about and feel yourself a part of this wonderful Earth mechanism.
