Mediterranean soul, 2026

Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

Mediterranean Soul is an original contemporary coastal landscape painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot, featuring vibrant acrylic colours and expressive brushwork on professional-quality paper, measuring 29.7 × 42 cm (11.69 × 16.54 inches).

Inspired by the beauty and atmosphere of the Mediterranean, this expressive artwork celebrates the warmth of summer, the intensity of sunlight and the feeling of freedom that comes with being close to nature. Rather than aiming for a precise representation, Natalya captures the emotional essence of a place through colour, movement and spontaneous brushwork.

Deep blues and turquoise evoke the freshness of the sea, while vivid greens, warm reds and soft pinks bring the composition to life. The interplay of these colours creates a lively rhythm, conveying the energy, warmth and joyful spirit of the Mediterranean.

For Natalya, the Mediterranean is more than a geographical place; it is a source of inspiration and a state of mind associated with light, vitality and the simple pleasures of life. Mediterranean Soul invites viewers to reconnect with their own memories of summer, warmth and the feeling of being somewhere beautiful and free.

Framing advice:
For a standard and easy-to-find option, I recommend an A3 frame (29.7 × 42 cm / 11.7 × 16.5 inches). Choose a simple white, natural wood or light oak frame for a fresh, contemporary look, or a thin black frame for a more striking contrast.

For an elegant gallery-style presentation, consider an A2 frame (42 × 59.4 cm / 16.5 × 23.4 inches) with a custom-cut white or off-white mat (mount) and an opening of 29.7 × 42 cm (11.7 × 16.5 inches). This will give the painting more breathing space and beautifully highlight its vibrant colours.
