The artist looks for a path between tangled branches. Reconfiguring a personal archive of diverse Colombian landscapes, experimenting with a variety of printing materials to reconstruct a whole from these fragments, recreating a forest in the center of Bogotá. Wynograd also examines a historical archive of landscapes, the roots of his own vision. He believes that the old mimetic dream of photography is still alive. These exercises aim to weave a series of visual connections and reflect on the complex web of interdependencies between humans and nature. If there is a light of hope in the midst of overlapping crises, it is the awareness that we all belong to a whole. Perhaps these images can help in that reflection.
This black-and-white photograph presents a striking scene of tall, slender palm trees majestically emerging from a reflective water surface. The sky, an expanse of soft gradients, hosts a solitary, luminous moon, creating a serene yet mystic atmosphere. The vertical lines of the palms contrast sharply with the smooth, glass-like water, while the moon adds a celestial focal point that draws the viewer's gaze upward. The careful composition emphasizes the grandeur and symmetry of the trees, inviting contemplation of nature's elegance. The monochrome palette enhances the textures and shadows, lending an almost timeless quality to the scene. This artwork masterfully captures a harmonious blend of earth and sky, evoking a sense of tranquility and awe.
