Description
A painting taken at dawn with magnificent light above Paris City Hall. This light was used as a stencil at the end of the shot to create a sharp outline of the Palace of Justice, visible below. The atmosphere that morning was vibrant, bathed in blues and whites. The bridge on the left bears the inscription "Paris 2024" because the painting was created a few weeks before the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The artwork is therefore directly dated by the elements present at the time of its creation.
Edouard Mazaré has been working for over 10 years on a complex photographic technique that he has entirely developed. The final result is highly pictorial. Each shot is taken in a single long exposure (from 45 seconds to 12 minutes) and without any editing software: the composition is created directly on location. There are no double or triple exposures here; everything is done blindly for a unique composition.
• Photograph taken in a single long shot and without any editing.
• Unique piece - limited edition 1/1, numbered directly on the artwork
• Art print under anti-reflective acrylic glass.
• American-style crate in matte black metal.
• Printed by an exclusive French laboratory - their expertise offers exceptional print quality and results.
Presentation
Edouard Mazaré is a French photographer. A graduate of the École Nationale des Beaux Arts in 2007, Edouard has been fully engaged in a fascinating artistic series for over 10 years now. Taking a pictorial approach to photography, he assembles the elements at his disposal in real time to extract their graphic essence into a final image. Each of his photographs is therefore taken in a single long shot (between 1 and 12 minutes) and without any editing software. He composes directly in situ using a technique he has fully developed and is still perfecting today. Here, there is no double exposure or superimposition; everything is done blindly during the long shot, allowing for a unique photographic rendering.
In this world where the image has become omnipresent every second and on every network, he enjoys slowing down time, feeling and obtaining rare, constructed and graphic images.
This approach has allowed Edouard to work on major projects for major French names (LVMH, Bouygues, Paprec, Cristal Union) and to win a prize at the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters.
